Each tower in this collection was personally handpicked by me for its individual beauty and quality, with an incredible range of colors, patterns, veining, orbs, swirls, and natural markings represented throughout the assortment. Many of the possible variations are shown in the listing photos as examples, but your individual tower will be intuitively selected just for you.
Depending on the piece chosen, you may receive soft creams and earthy neutrals, greens, pinks, yellows, rusts, browns, or combinations of several shades within a single tower. Some display dramatic veining and contrasting bands, while others feature delicate speckles, circular or “orbicular” patterns, sweeping color changes, or dreamy landscape-like formations. That unpredictability is part of the magic—Ocean Jasper is truly a stone where the Earth seems to have painted each piece individually.
The Story of Ocean Jasper
Ocean Jasper is the trade name given to a particularly beautiful variety of orbicular chalcedony associated with Madagascar. The material became especially sought after for its extraordinary patterns and colorful orb-like formations, with some of the best-known deposits occurring along Madagascar's remote northwestern coast.
Its famous circular patterns are created during the stone's formation as silica-rich material crystallizes and develops into aggregates and concentric structures. Different minerals and inclusions contribute to the tremendous variation in color, meaning one piece can look dramatically different from the next. It is this combination of geological processes that creates the little worlds of dots, rings, veins, waves, and color hidden inside the stone.
Energetics
Ocean Jasper is often called a stone of joy, renewal, and emotional balance. In modern crystal traditions, it is associated with encouraging optimism while helping us move through life's natural cycles with a little more grace.
There is also something beautifully symbolic about its patterns: circles within circles, layers upon layers, and markings that never repeat themselves exactly.
